About

“I grew up on a smallholding, where my parents ran a boarding kennels and cattery business. My Mum has bred, shown and judged dogs for more than 40 years, and so I have always been surrounded by animals!

At the age of 16, I pleaded with my parents to let me keep a 12 week old border collie that had been tied up in a field near our house. Penny became my very own pet, and much loved companion for many years.

I have enjoyed special relationships with many more pets that I have owned over the years – some of them are featured here on my website.  Each one has left me with a special memory of their time with me.

Currently we have two Border Collies; Bobby, a lively red and white boy – still very much a teenager at 7 years old! – and Sammy, an equally lively tri-coloured Border Colour who we rehomed at age 3 from a shelter. Our house is also home to six cats – five of whom are rescues, as a result of my failed attempt at fostering! It seemed natural that my passion for both photography and animals should come together, so that I can provide other pet owners with lasting memories of their treasured companions.

I am a fully qualified member of the Guild of Photographers, and also a member of the Societies of Photographers.

I am proud to have won awards from both associations, as well as achieving the Photographer’s Bar from the Guild of Photographers.  This involves regularly submitting images to a panel of  highly qualified judges to be assessed and deemed to have achieved an exceptional level of professional skill and consistency.

I have also been presented with several trophies by my local Camera Club.

I regularly get my work published in magazines and featured in social media, local publications, and undergo constant mentoring and learning of new techniques in both photography and editing to improve my skill set.”
