Lockdown Life
I’m sure I’m not just speaking for myself when I say this is the strangest (and probably one of the hardest times) that I can recall in my life…..and I know I am one of the lucky ones. I haven’t actually been directly affected by Coronavirus in terms of any of my immediate family having it..but some very close friends have contracted it – but thankfully recovered. I know there will be some of you who have lost friends and family members to this terrible disease, and my heart goes out to you.
For me personally, it’s not the physical effects of Covid-19, but the lack of “normality” in my life that I have found difficult. The anxiety around change, general uncertainty about the future, not being able to leave the house as often as I like (and took for granted), missing spending time with friends and family and just really struggling to focus on anything.
I always dreamed of having more time to enjoy the things I love, reading, painting, crafts, creating things, training the dogs, walking, running….but actually I now feel overwhelmed with all this time I have, and whilst I am doing my best to spend this time wisely, it’s not easy, and I often go to bed feeling frustrated with myself that I have “wasted my day” and barely “achieved” anything.
Perhaps I am being too harsh on myself, but I’m sure some of you can relate!
Anyway, I don’t want this to be a miserable blog about the downsides of Lockdown…..I want us to see those humourous moments that we will hopefully look back on in the future, when this is all over, with a smile on our faces.
I’m sure that all of you reading this will have appreciated the extra time we have got to spend with our pets during this time, and the fact that they are unconditionally always there for us – so I hope you enjoy these Memes I have created from some of the sessions I have really enjoyed in the past:
I hope you’ve enjoyed these images – please feel free to share or comment
I really look forward to seeing you all when restrictions are lifted, and I can safely meet up with you and your dogs.
