Meet Monty!
8:30am was an early start for a fresh Sunday morning in early Spring. But it was well worth wrapping up warm and driving to Ampthill Park in Bedfordshire, to meet Monty a young, working English Setter. The park was quiet and Monty was keen to make the most of all the space he had to explore.
As you would expect from a working dog, Monty is very well trained and responds to his handler instantly on hearing a whistle. In between recalls he covers huge amounts of ground with his nose to the floor – just wonderful to watch.
It had rained the previous night, so there was plenty of lovely dew on the ground, and although we did our best to avoid the muddiest parts of the park, towards the end of his photoshoot Monty certainly wasn’t as clean as he was when he arrived! But he certainly enjoyed himself…as you can see from the big smile he displays in his photographs!
