Ziggy
…….Say hello to Ziggy!
I am sure you will agree that Ziggy the Smooth Haired Dachshund has the most striking markings, and along with his odd coloured eyes (one blue and one brown), this handsome boy is certainly a head turner in the model stakes! As you can see, Ziggy is clearly a very happy little dog now, but this hasn’t always been the case…
Ziggy’s original owner became terminally ill and sadly had to give up Ziggy’s entire family – his Mum, Dad and brother for rehoming. Because Ziggy’s Mum had already lost interest in both of the boys, the brothers were rehomed separately.
Whilst the others were all rehomed fairly quickly, unfortunately Ziggy remained at the rehoming shelter for a further 6 months before a new owner eventually came forward.
However this match was not to be, as after only 10 days his new owner realised that she was unfortunately allergic to poor Ziggy
Luckily, unbeknown to Ziggy, his forever home was not far away…..
Ziggy quickly settled into his final home, where he has been loved and spoilt ever since…
Ziggy is very much a lap dog, very loving and always up for cuddles.
He loves chasing things, and can often be heard barking at any dog he meets for a quick chat.
Ziggy loves to tear tennis balls apart …..
….and and pull the stuffing out of cuddly toys just for his own entertainment!
Though he might be short in stature, his personality definitely makes up for it, and his massive appetite is outweighed by his playfulness and love of long walks and chasing tennis balls
